Holyoke Tutor Mentor is looking for tutors!

New Year’s resolutions take many forms. For some adults they will include studying basic reading, writing, math and English as a step towards reaching their personal and employment goals. The Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program trains volunteers to tutor in Adult Basic Education and ESOL classes, and more volunteers will be needed in 2012. No previous skills are necessary, although bilingual Spanish speakers with math and science skills are particularly needed. The next 12-hour tutor training will be offered starting in early February. The training is free of charge, but pre-registration is required.
