We are happy to announce that there will be a pre-preliminary debate on September 4th from 6-8 at the Holyoke Senior Center. The debate covers races for the three positions that will have primary contests: Mayor, City Clerk and Ward 4 City Councilor. All candidates for these positions are invited to attend.
The debate will include an independent local media panel, which will have the opportunity to address the candidates. The entire proceedings will be videotaped, re-broadcast on local TV, and made available online.
The debate will be moderated by Adrian Dahlin. Questions will be asked by the public (gathered in advance), the media panel and the moderator, and it will be clear from which source each question comes. Members of the Holyoke community are invited to submit questions on this page or by attending the Great Holyoke Block Party on August 31st.
