Profile Information

What is the talent/skill that you can bring to c.r.u.s.h.?
Organizational skills with attention to detail. I am a retired Broadway Dancer/Performer, so I don't mind being in the spotlight. Have Choreographed/Directed professional musical theatre productions, so I don't mind taking on a leadership role if needed. I also have a knack for working with children, enjoy teaching dance and yoga, and love to offer outreach out in the community.
What is your favorite thing about Holyoke?
It's beautiful architecture and the passion of it's many resident artists.
What do you think are some of Holyoke's greatest attributes?
The old mills... we have space galore!
The canals and turbines... we have built-in green energy
The landscape... we have Mt. Tom and beautiful reservoirs
I also hear there is a great Yoga Studio in Open Square! :)
What do you think are some of Holyoke's worst attributes?
People who don't care about the city they live in.
I've also noticed A LOT of bad driving.
What are the top issues that Holyoke needs to focus on?
Restaurants, Arts & Cultural Events, Retail Downtown, Green Industry, Neighborhood Cleanup, Safer Streets, Building Facades, Pedestrian Friendly, Community Space, Communication Network, Inter-Generational Activity, Access To Politics, Public Transportation, Better Schools

There was a sparse crowd attending, probably only about 20-25 citizens comprised of all ages and demographics. I had the feeling, however, that the people of the actual neighborhood that this Transfer Station would affect the most, was almost completely… Continue

Hello Debra,

Doctor Linda Henderson, DVM, owner of Holyoke Animal Hospital, has agreed to speak February 26 on conservation of the Mt. Tom Range. Linda is an avid wildlife photographer whose inventory of stunning Mt. Tom images had led to several shows of her work. If there is a player connected to the Bungalow's TV screen, Linda and I will create a DVD of about ten minutes in length.

Regarding the logo I've placed in the C.R.U.S.H. website. I designed it many years ago with the idea of promoting awareness of the Mt. Tom Range. Please be advised that I consider the logo copy written and it is not be used in any form without my expressed written permission. Of course I realize that by placing it on the C.R.U.S.H. site I have exposed it to potential reuse beyond C.R.U.S.H control.

Hello Debra,

Bernice and I will stop by tonight. Aren't available for the Feb. 26 event but could prepare something for someone else to read. Give me an idea of what you want addressed. Else, I have a couple subjects in mind.

Thanks for the invite,

Elbert
