Profile Information

What is your favorite thing about Holyoke?
It's my home.
What do you think are some of Holyoke's greatest attributes?
the size of the city is conducive to getting to the heart of things with relative ease, and to getting around town. It also lends itself to organizing residents around common goals.
The utility rates from HG&E are very nice. It has many nice features for enjoying the outdoors and nature, as well as an urban core, and of course being both beautifully situated in wester MA, and on the Connecticut River are big plusses. Great housing values. One of the largest local dialing areas I have encountered anywhere.
What do you think are some of Holyoke's worst attributes?
encountering folks who don't agree with Margeret -

"Never underestimate the power of a small group of
committed citizens to change the world; indeed it is
the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Mead
What are the top issues that Holyoke needs to focus on?
Green Industry, Neighborhood Cleanup, Communication Network, Inter-Generational Activity, Access To Politics, Better Schools

committed citizens to change the world; indeed it is
the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Mead

Making It Here - Working With Water episode

Tonight's edition of Making It Here, was an episode titled "Working with Water", featured the HG&E, our dam and power generating canal system; also Berkshire Mountain Distillers, and a family run hydroponic farm in Amherst. I came in late, but the show is going to be repeated three times Monday, on Create channel (ch. #237 in Holyoke). I have it set to record. Check it out!

Thanks! The panoramic photo was done completely in my phone, which is why it's hideous.
