Holyoke Public Schools Out of Suffolk Street Now!

The Holyoke School Committee needs to act immediately on two items.

After the careful study of a task force, and over a year of deliberation, the School Committee voted on February 18, 2008 to move the administrative offices of the School Department from 57 Suffolk Street to available space in the Lawrence School. 57 Suffolk Street costs the City over $400,000.00 per year in rent and related costs.

Holyoke Schools Superintendant Search

Dr. Carballo is retiring in June of 2010, and the search for Holyoke's next Superintendant is now underway.

The School Committee has hired the Mass. Association of School Committees to help with the search process. They are now meeting with several stakeholders for input.

If you can, you are welcome to come and comment at a meeting for Holyoke Parents on Tuesday June 2 at 6:30, at Holyoke High School.
