I've lived in Holyoke since 1995 and am interested in libraries and literacy, historic buildings, environmental issues (e.g., keeping the river clean) and creating a healthy community in Holyoke. I love Balkan music and play in the band Panharmonium with my partner Ken.
I'm active with the Holyoke Food and Fitness Policy Council, the Friends of the Holyoke Public Library, and Holyoke Unites/Holyoke Se Une.
Thank you to all who attended last night's Meet-and-Greet-the Charter-Review-Commission-Candidates event at the Library, sponsored by the Friends of the Library. We had a good turnout. THANKS especially to Christine Alger, who prepared the handouts.
I'll include some photos here.
Hi Sandy
Sorry for such a delay in a reply. I apologize. I did get the friends of Holyoke letter and was sad that I could not attend. I recently got a full time position as a personal trainer and work split shifts and was unfortunately working during the event. On top of that I was permanently moving o the house we're rebuilding. So as you can imagine life's been a little bit discombobulated. How did it go though? I hope you are well. Have fun voting today.
Thanks for the comment!
I'm a member of the Steering Committe for the Holyoke Food and Fitness Policy Council. This March we will be on our way to Texas.
I'll try to bring in as much information that I can so i can share it with you and your colleagues.
Thanks for the comment!
I would love to be involved in the effort to the best of my ability, yet I return to Brown this upcoming Friday.
I do return to Holyoke often throughout the Spring semester to help out with various community events and meetings, and will be happy to keep in touch and do what I can do from school. Please let me know what I can do, and hopefully I will be around on May 3rd for the event.
