- What is the talent/skill that you can bring to c.r.u.s.h.?
- I am a retired public school art teacher who now owns "Artsee" a center for the arts on Maple Street in Holyoke. I am also running for ward 1 City Council.
- What is your favorite thing about Holyoke?
- I moved to Holyoke many years ago and although I left a few years ago to finish my education I left many of my close friends and relatives here. So if you ask me what I like about Holyoke, I would say just about everything except the potholes and the lack of hispanic representation in city government.
- What do you think are some of Holyoke's greatest attributes?
- I recently heard a quote that is quite appropiate. Holyoke is a sleeping lion in disguise. After 20 years I have returned and I can not agree more. Holyoke is an investors dream and I see nothing but good things in Holyoke's future. From the canal walk to all the demolition and revitalization that is going on.
- What do you think are some of Holyoke's worst attributes?
- Lack of activities for the youth, especially teenagers. More needs to be done and offered to this young population to help keep them motivated and out of trouble. Also the high crime in some sectors more than others, the drugs, the gang activities, the garbage strewn streets and all the potholes that are damaging our cars.
- What are the top issues that Holyoke needs to focus on?
- Arts & Cultural Events, Green Industry, Neighborhood Cleanup, Building Facades, Pedestrian Friendly, Community Space, Communication Network, Inter-Generational Activity, Better Schools
