- What is the talent/skill that you can bring to c.r.u.s.h.?
- As a very active Girl Scout leader, I am helping girls discover and hopefully find leadership roles in their community. I organize events for my troop, scouts from Holyoke, and girls from the Central and Western Mass council, and promote community service.
- What is your favorite thing about Holyoke?
- It is an old city with lots of beautiful natural and man-made landmarks and features.
- What do you think are some of Holyoke's greatest attributes?
- Diverse population with rich cultures, full of people who care about their community!
- What do you think are some of Holyoke's worst attributes?
- The schools are in terrible shape and there is too much crime. These things work together. City's bad reputation is constantly reinforced by these things, even though lots of other people are working together to do good things.
- What are the top issues that Holyoke needs to focus on?
- Safer Streets, Better Schools

Holyoke's Amazing Race
Our Brownie troop is back with another fundraiser - really trying to achieve our goal of getting to Washington DC this year so the girls can represent Holyoke at the celebration of 100 years of Girl Scouting! This time we're planning an event for the whole family. It will have all kinds of fun clues and challenges that take you through the buildings in Heritage park. 2012 Fashion 4 U - helping 8 Brownie Girl Scouts represent Holyoke in DC
For a few weeks now I've been working non-stop on this fundraising event for our troop. Girl Scouts will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year and our troop wants to represent Holyoke at the celebration in Washington DC in June.

How have you been? It's Mare from the Oral Historian group, how are yours coming along so far? Mine haven't been so well. I have one almost finished transcribing but the other two have been almost impossible to get to actually do the interview even though they agreed to it...ugh!
