Apture.
When navigating around this website, you'll see that some links have been updated to provide additional information/multimedia that goes above & beyond a simple link to another page or file. The 'Apture' link above is an example... Go on, click it or hover your mouse over the little icon!

I've updated the
C.R.U.S.H. website to include a much better
News From Around Holyoke page.
This page is an automatically-updated list of the last 10 entries from over twenty blogs, Flickr posts, YouTube posts, and news sources/searches that post in/about Holyoke. We're using this to push as many Holyoke-based updates as we can, so you could essentially get al…

I've taken the time to add the list of candidates for the upcoming election over at
c.r.u.s.h.'s site. You can have a look through
the candidates here.
At the moment, it's just names & positions, but I hope more information will be added as time goes by.

I have (another) overly ambitious idea for a project that I can't possibly do on my own. I'd like to know if there's any interest in this project, so here it goes...
The idea for this project is to have a wiki site (see
Wikipedia for the mother of all examples) that aims to be the hub for all the information that you'll need to locate and renovate property in Holyoke.
Now, I don't want to re-invent anything. So, for property values (for exam…

This one is coming through from WWLP - I got it straight from
their twitter account - and was written by Adam Strzempko.
The Holyoke Farmers’ Market kicked-off Thursday morning in front of Holyoke City Hall. It included singing and the raising of the Special Olympics flag.
Farmers from a number of farms across western Massachusetts were on hand wit…

After two years of meetings, a unified plan to address the city's high teenage birthrate was finalized this week by city officials and community groups.

This is
another article from The Republican Newsroom
found on MassLive ... Ken Ross must have some serious carpal tunnel with the sheer number of words he's pushing out!
City officials hope to clean up a former industrial site on Appleton Street at an estimated cost of $116,000.
"We were lucky," said senior City Planner Karen Mendrala earlier this week. "It's only a small area" to clean up…

Truth be told, I haven't followed our Waste Transfer Station hearings as close as I could have. So, I apologize if I'm a bit late with this, or if it doesn't directly apply to our unique situation.
Basically, I took a few minutes out of my day to do a quick search through YouTube for some examples of Solid Waste Transfer Stations. I figured I'd be able to form a better opinion about the issue if I had some Real World™ examples to look at...
I found this video that goes through a short tour of…

I've been in the lab, inventing words and working to bring c.r.u.s.h. (and Holyoke) into the Future (or at least keep it up to date)...
c.r.u.s.h. is on Twitter!
Twitter defines itself as "a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?" The service gets really cool, however, when you get away from that question...
You can…
